There must be a windows explorer program, and you should be able find the name of the ring tone file. if the phone will sync with a laptop, you can use the 'my mobile' program to browse files on the smart phone... should be able to drag and drop from there if so... or maybe not... 8 ( Is this a windows mobile smart phone?
